Back to square one - the knee pain returned tonight. I ran an easy 30 minutes, but at about 25 minutes the pain gradually crept back under the knee. I think I need to see a doctor.
What else helps you these days to keep your sanity? Must be tough without running. But you must do something, right? Books, other hobbies etc. - and we still have to get together for a poker night!
I live in Tokyo and fill most of my time with running (when I'm not working). I'm pretty new to running - although I have run the London Marathon and I've recently got a bit competitve in 5km runs (my best is a 17.33 set on the track). I don't cycle so much these days, but I've ridden all around the world, including Manchester Velodrome; Herne Hill Velodrome in London; the Adelaide 'Superdrome'; Launceston 'Silverdome' and the roads of Australia, Belgium, Britain and France. These days I ride just for fun and fitness - somehow I own a better bicycle now than I did when I used to race.
私は東京に住んでいます。仕事をしている時以外は、いつも走っているか、サイクリングをしています。オーストラリアやヨーロッパで自転車のレースに出場したことがあります。今は私の自転車を6.8kgの重さにまで軽量するため、改良中です。

Sorry to hear that Gordon.

Beer helps!
It is tough not being able to run. I hate it. Especially not knowing when I'll be OK again - or if.
Books and bikes help too. I'm building a great bicycle.
So bikes, books and beer - just maybe not in that order...
Bring on the poker night.
If you turn out to be a good poker player maybe you can buy a set of new knees - how cool would that be!
